There`s a lot of stories about how the boss critizises and complains about everithing someone do, but have you ever heard about the positive  feedback that brings when this one recognice the work and incentivates you to improve every day?.This is a reasonable way to understand the Pygmalion effect, which suggest that the perciever´s positive expactaition enhances the target performance, is one of the main topics discused in the past class, as one of the perception theories.

The positive influence  which could be result of positive expectations, is applied in many areas like bussines areas, militar world , in sports and even in education maters and that shows how this positive expectations can work in wide variety of situations
But, is important to have in mind that  inside  the perception process, pygmalion effect is not the only factor in the positive result of the subordinator development, it´s important as well, the perciever`s expectations and the both, subordinator and perciever´s, possible profits or welfare reached in the persuit of the objective.

In the globalaized organizational world, it is important to keep in mind the value of positive perceptions and encourage toward achieve the organizational goals.

  1. Hey men, I think that your perspective about the Pygmalion effects is very realistic, because you give it a high importance but at the time you take into account that there are other important things like the profits and welfare, which for me are very important when giving the other person some expectations.

I think too that in this competitive and globalized world it is very important to take into account the Pygmalion effect, which at the end can give results not only to the companies, but also to the worker.
