IOM International organization for migrtation.

This is a brief introduction of the IOM
International Organization for Migration (IOM),  established in 1951 and is an inter-governmental organization was initially established in Committee for European Migration (ICEM) to help resettle people displaced by the second world war.IOM manages migration issues and provide all kind of helps  for governments and for migrant as well  al over  the world.
Nowaday this organization has 127 members. and is allways willing  to help ensure the orderly and human management of migration, to promote on migration issues, international cooperation, also in  constant   assistance in the search for practical solutions to migration problems and to provide humanitarian assistance to migrants needs, including refugees and internally displaced people. (IOM, 2010).
There are parts of the population than in general terms are changing their   dynamics in the migration terms . They were normally  used to migrate as accompanying their husbands and families, but they have  had a radically change now to single women as single mothers. This group of single women  constitutes a neuralgic part which needs special help since they are often located in very low paid jobs and are subjugated to sexual jobs in order to get money to support their families in the new country, this shows us the fact that  women migrants are in more risk to violation of human rights as they go through migration, more often than male migrants. In the violation of human rights, women migrants moreoften have to cross through  inhuman conditions of living, obtaining  hard not well paide works, with a clear increased in the matter of health risiks, as well as  the constant risk of physical violations produced by their bosses.
The IOM is working actively in the search of the punish of the iligal migration chanels because this chaneles are leading every time more often with the human traffick. the result of this work have helped to create projects that are being implemented at regional and national level giving trainament and assistance to the authorities looking to reduce and finally get rid of this horrible problem. But, the aouthorities are not the only group which the IOM have been working with,  the society have been an important part on the development of the fight  against this cruel activity, taking an active position Furthermore, it has also created projects to work closely with the victims of human trafficking in their reintegration to normal life and in the dealing of the consequences left.
Some objectives of the IOM in the protection of th migrant women are:
- Addressing gendered forms of racism and xenophobia against women migrant
- Promotion of  the physical and mental health and well-being of women migrant workers.
-  Protecting women migrant workers from sexual and gender-based violence,
domestic violence, abusive labour practices and discrimination.
Research and data collection on women and international labour migration
Is important to have an wide knoledge and spread of that in all the countries specially in Latin American countries because this kind of issues are things that happens more often that we thing it really happens and always be aware of the way we are going to travel arround the world avoiding this types of dangers.  Be careful and protect your people!.
Hope you enjoy it!
Have a grat day.

UBUNTU South Africa

Ubuntu philosophy is one of the practices more sucesfull inside south africa. this one offers good relations and comunity. " Im who i´m because of who all we are", says the activist Leymah Gbowe, meaning that a person with ubuntu is allways open and pacient with others and all the time trying to be as humanistic as possible
This philosophy can be applied to management based on generating a good working environment, foucused on increase de advantage and increase effectivity and eficienty.
It a strong and  positive to know that if native Ubuntu workers realize the objective the managers are willing to work with them and make great efforts to understand Ubuntu, they will be more pleaced  helping their bosses to achieve  the spected goals into the organization.

According to the philosophy of ubuntu, inside the organization appears close  interdependence; "a person is a person through others", it means that the independent work is not that important and do not have the kind of impact that the unit and teamwork have, (synergy). the fact that the organization succeed because of the joint work of all the members, creates motivation and tight relations, then everybody will trust each other  and then, they will act as a "family", they wont fell shy or not capable but the do will feel confident to talk and expressed what they think, what they are expecting fom thr otganization and what they want in order to improve thir work and achieve the goal.

As a conclution,  it isreally  important to show   that the nowadays organizations must  adapt themselves to the environment and culture in which they are working, and the most successful are those ones who can adapt to it better and faster. in order to achieve a sinergy and finally a dynamic work.

Hope you enjoy it!!

Cross- Cultural Differences in Multinationals

Acording to we have seen on the reading by Thorne and Bartholomeu (2002) "The socio-cultural embeddedness of individual´s ethical reasoning in organizationwhich explain the four components of the influence on culture on individual´s ethical reasoning, today i´m going to explain some of this concepts and the possible reason to understand why this has to studied and who´s this lecture directed to.

The first concept is the Culture and the identification of an ethical dilemma, this sugguest us a cross- cultural difference in the degree of the Hostede´s dimension Individualism/Collectivisim because here starts a divergence of thougts in the dilemma about which interests are more important for the individual, his/her own´s or the interest of an organizatios. This divergence shows us a situation, in a national way for example, that the countries more individualistics tend more to a market self regulation or a government position like "do whatever you want, first your welfare". in the other hand, goverments with a more collectivistic posture, tends to be more tough in its regulation and often, participates in the market controling like giving more importance to the welfare of the nation.
In that way, if you as a multinational wants to stay longer in a country with high individualistic percentage, you shold try to create a close relationship with your employees making that they feel part of a big family  and making that  his/her expectatives goes according to the expectatives of the organization.

A second one but not less important concept is the Culture and ethical action, this model of ethical reasoning recognises that  someone´s ethical behavior is not always consistent with his/her ethical intention to act. Generally this concept is too tight with the dimension of High /low Confucianism  which shows how ethical actions may comply with ethical intentions. The fact  that the confucionism is linked with the respect of the relative emphasis on time, shows us that cultures with high confucianism (East cultures: China´s, Japan´s) are more willing to act with their ethical intentions and not seeing it as a constrains but as a way to keep the harmony  and not "lose face". but, individuals with high confusianism are seems to be more concerned about "saving face" than acting in an ethical way .

This paperwork has the objective of make the people perceive the influence of individual´s ethical reasoning and to highligths that the cultural orientations reflects different effects over several parts of the individual´s ethical reasoning. This research was made for multinational companies which were looking for mechanisms that may ensure a kind of "global compilance" . also to exhibit the importance of the effort that the companies have to do to underestand the ethical reasoning  with the aim of go toward the reach of the most apropriate mechanism to generate compilance to the ethical norms.

!!Is not an easy work!!
